Why Should You Enroll at PJ’s College of Cosmetology?

Our cosmetology program gives each student the opportunity to gain new knowledge and practical experience in hair, skin, and nails. Through a combination of classroom work, demonstrations, and hands-on experience using real skills in our student salon, you can pursue your passion and prepare for a future in the beauty industry.

Our popular cosmetology course is offered at all eleven campuses in Indiana and Kentucky. It is a 1,500-hour course, and you can choose to complete it as a full-time student (30 hours/week) or a part-time student (20 or 24 hours/week). Each campus is unique, so we suggest you schedule a tour of your favorite campuses. A campus tour is an excellent way to see our facilities, learn more about the cosmetology program, and meet some of the instructors and students.

Will I be ready for the State Licensing Exam when I have completed the course?

We provide a well-rounded education that covers the skills and knowledge needed to sit for the State Exam. Preparing our students to sit for the State Exam is a huge part of our curriculum.

What careers can a cosmetologist pursue?

Cosmetologists can pursue a variety of exciting career options, such as working in a salon, owning their own salon, working on a cruise ship or resort, working as a field representative for a manufacturer of beauty products, becoming a specialist in a particular area of cosmetology (such as a hair color specialist), or becoming a cosmetology instructor at a beauty school. We provide a beauty education that can open doors to beautiful careers!

If you’re ready to embark on your cosmetology journey at PJ’s College of Cosmetology, simply fill out the form on our website. Applicants must have a 12th-grade education or its equivalent.
Applicants to the Cosmetology program must be at least 16 1/2 years old.
Enrollment at PJ’s is done on a continuous basis.
Classes typically begin on the second Tuesday of each month.
Financial aid is available to those who qualify.
After completing the Cosmetology course and successfully passing, students may sit for the State Board Examination to receive a license.
