How to Decide Between Cosmetology and Esthetics

The fields of Cosmetology and Esthetics are both growing in today’s beauty world, but how do you know which one is for you? At PJ’s we offer a Cosmetology program that teaches a wide range of beauty skills, such as hair cutting, coloring, styling, giving facials, giving manicures and pedicures, creating nail art, applying makeup, and more. The program is designed to prepare students to sit for the State Exam, and it helps prepare students for a variety of different beauty careers. On the other hand, our Esthetics program teaches students all about skincare techniques, including facials, scalp treatments, hair removal techniques, and more. It is for those who are passionate about helping others through skincare, and those who desire to become a licensed Esthetician. Students from both programs benefit from our experienced instructors and the opportunity to work in our student salon.
